Alice Marie Brown Juergens, 90, passed away to Heaven on Friday, August 9 after a long illness.
Alice was born on November 18, 1928, in Summersville, WV, the last of 9 children.
Alice was an artist and a writer who frequently had editorials published in the Dominion Post. She was a member of CMA church and served as a volunteer with Mon General Hospital for many years.

Alice is survived by her daughter Janie Juergens of Winchester, Va. and by Janet Petitte and her husband, John. She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Abby Kowalski and Matt Petitte. Alice was pre-deceased by her husband, Bill, and 7 brothers and one sister. She is also survived by a special niece, Susan Brown, special friend, Judy Dean and neighbors Ruth Darocha and Lela Bailey.
A family memorial service will be held at a later date. Following her wishes, her ashes will be interred at her family cemetery in Summersville, WV. Honoring her wishes, donations in her memory can be made to Mt Hermon Baptist Church, 1280 Richwood Ave, Morgantown, WV 26505.
